I noticed my PCP today. He’s urged me to lose excess weight for years, but hasn’t received all strict about it, just soft encouragement and support. Now that I am actually losing weight he is very, very pleased. I saw him in March so when he insisted on seeing me again so quickly, I understood he wished to monitor my weight.
Knowing that the appointment was coming kept me on the right and narrow over the weekend when things were so horrible, so that it at least offered that purpose. Today When I noticed him, he didn’t weigh me. He only asked how a lot more weight had I lost. I was a little amazed.

He didn’t flinch once i confessed it was only 3 pounds. In fact, he was quite satisfied which i lost weight at all with two excursions between visits, one of which was a sail. Of course, he examined all my vitals, bp, pulse, etc. Obviously everything was fine. Then he said he wanted to have blood attracted, that was quite amazing to me.
Blood was attracted at the March visit and everything was fine. He said he was very worried about gall bladder disease and gall stones, and this was essential to check my lipids & liver enzymes. Apparently there is concern about such matters when individuals lose large amounts of weight. He could be a good doctor and has taken care of me for lo these a long time, so I decided. I don’t expect there to be any problems. I don’t have any symptoms of gall bladder issues.
I have heard of people shedding a lot of weight on a minimal fat diet and then splurging on pizza and having an strike because their gall bladders aren’t used to producing enough bile to process that much fat. I had not, however, heard about a connection between weight loss and gall bladder issues. I return back in October for another blood pull. We discussed realistic goals also.
He’s been informing me 165. He has said he doesn’t get “hung through to all of that BMI stuff,” and got given me that goal which would still place me in the overweight category. I secretly had a goal of 154.4, which is exactly 100 lbs gone. I wasn’t going to tell him and just arrive in his office all skinny. The closer I get to both goals, the more I think that 145 isn’t just attainable but also attractive. He agreed, but cautioned me to take it one step at the right time. He’s right about this. I’m still obese, but oh so very near to overweight. I’ll get there. I just can not be in a rush and frustrate myself.
9. The fat burning zone will not burn more total fat calorie consumption – only a higher percentage of calories from fat. Total calories burned is what matters. 10. You’re too old to do squats never. Weight loss is not a physical challenge – it’s a mental one. 11. The range cannot measure your body fat.
However, this surplus fat caliper can. 12. You are able to eat whatever you want but still lose weight – but weight doesn’t always identical fat. 13. You can’t target weight loss – weight loss is systemic. 14. Muscle will not consider more than fats – it’s just denser than it. Zero grams of unwanted fat on a label doesn’t always indicate there’s no extra fat in the meals product.
